The 60th Filmfare Awards were held to honor the best films of 2014 from the Hindi-language film industry on the 31st of January, 2015 at the Yash Raj Studio in Mumbai. The ceremony was hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, actress Alia Bhatt, and comedian Kapil Sharma.

THE BOLLYWOOD COMIC DRAMA QUEEN SWEPT THE 60TH FILMFARE AWARDS YESTERDAY, WINNING AWARDS IN AS MANY AS SIX CATEGORIES AND FETCHING VIKAS BAHL THE AWARD FOR THE BEST DIRECTOR AND KANGANA RANAUT THE BEST ACTRESS HONOUR
The runner-up was Vishal Bhardwaj's tragic Shakespearean drama Haider which won awards in five categories - including Best Actor for Shahid Kapoor, Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Tabu and Best Actor in Supporting role for Kay Kay Menon.
Rajat Kapoor's critically acclaimed film Ankhon Dekhi bagged the Best Film (Critics) prize. The award for the Best Male Actor (Critics) went to Sanjay Mishra for Ankhon Dekhi and the Best Female Actor (Critics) award was given to Alia Bhatt for her performance in Highway.
The romantic comedy 2 States and the comic drama PK also won awards in multiple categories. Surprsingly, Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year and Priyanka Chopra's Mary Kom did not win any awards.
